Personalizing your Skyward dashboard and emailing student work to parents through Google Classroom

Watch this short video to learn how to personalize your Skyward dashboard. This will allow you to quickly and easily access the tools that you use most.

Google Classroom has a new feature that enables teachers to email home a single view of all student work.

You can see a list of an individual student’s assignments, grades, and missing work all in one place. You can filter the list by status—turned in, returned with grade, or missing. You can also email it to the student and their guardian.

Single view of student work
  1. Click the class and choose an option:
    • At the top, click Students and then the student's name.
    • Click an assignment or question and on the left, click the student’s name. Then, on the right, click their name again.
  2. Click Email Email.
  3. Next to Student, click the Down arrow Down Arrow and select StudentGuardians, or Student and guardians.
  4. (Optional) Enter a message.
  5. Check the Include student work summary box and click Send.
